The OB peacock (orange blotch) is an aquarium-bred Aulonocara line with dark blotches over a pink, orange or cream base. It is not a wild species, and we say so when we sell it.
The best thing about the OB is that no two are alike: each fish has its own pattern, with blue flashes on the face and orange-speckled fins. The fish in the photos are ours, females or juveniles.
Like all peacocks, it is calm, swims in open water and needs a tank of 250 liters or more, fine sand and a quality pellet. It does well with other peacocks and calm haps; avoid aggressive mbuna. Do not breed it alongside other Aulonocara females if you want to keep lines separate.
