Dragon Blood (also called Strawberry) is a trade name for hybrid peacock (Aulonocara) lines bred in aquariums. It is not a wild species and has no locality in Lake Malawi, and we say so when we sell it.
The fish in the photos are ours: coral and orange with light speckles, which deepen with age and a good diet. We have them already sexed, males and females, so you can build your group with the right ratio.
Like all peacocks, it is calm, swims in open water and needs a roomy tank (250 liters or more), fine sand and a quality pellet. It does well with other peacocks in different colors; avoid aggressive mbuna.
